What we know

Microsoft has announced that the Surface Laptop Ultra will launch on October 16th, with a starting price of $2,599 for the base model. This laptop is the first to ship with Nvidia’s new RTX Spark processor. Pre-orders are currently available for the Surface Laptop Ultra as well as other laptops equipped with the RTX Spark chip.

Why it matters

This positions the device as a direct competitor to high-end laptops like Apple’s MacBook lineup. The availability of pre-orders signals the start of broader adoption for Nvidia’s new processor across multiple manufacturers.
